It’s World Rivers Day 2016 this Sunday! The Cashew Gardens “A Model Community” will be joining WASA Trinidad & Tobago and their Adopt A River Trinidad & Tobago initiative to clean up the Caparo River and environs from 10am. We will be starting from Japs junction into Ravine Sable road. We encourage everyone to join in this effort and help raise awareness of our watersheds and the negative impact pollution has on them. World Rivers Day at the Asa Wright Nature Centre
World Rivers Day is celebrated on the last Sunday of September. This year was the first time it was celebrated in Trinidad and Tobago. The celebrations took place at 15 different Communities and had activities such as clean ups, presentations and tree planting.
