Posted on: April 28th, 2017 by Allister Brizan

On Saturday April 22nd, members of the Adopt A River Implementation Unit joined the Caura Eco Protectors in an exercise to cleanup, bag and count bottles and tins in the Caura area. This was all part of a recycling exercise aimed at removing these items from the watershed and re-introduce them in another form. The collection and documentation of these items provide vital data, which will inform any Integrated Water Resource Management policy.

Our Outreach Team, marshalled by Project officer Dr. Sharda Mahabir, joined the EMA’s Recycling Exhibition at the UTT O’Meara Campus on Wednesday April 26th.  Visitors to the Adopt A River booth had the opportunity to engage our team members in some Water Quality Testing exercises as well as gain an appreciation of the work done by the Implementation Unit. Keep visiting our page for information on upcoming outreach exercises. The event hosted by ICare TT, was a useful platform to showcase various opportunities which can emerge from the recycling process.
