- Competition is open to all Primary and Secondary school students in Trinidad and
\nTobago.<\/li>\n - Each student or group per school is restricted to a single entry. However, schools can
\nsubmit a maximum of 2 entries.<\/li>\n - Theme for the competition is: \u201cPeople\u2019s Solutions for Plastic Pollution\u201d.<\/strong><\/li>\n
- Submissions must creatively capture human practices within our watersheds with focus
\non the impact of pollution on our rivers.<\/li>\n- Submissions must include topics such as pollution, deforestation, conservation and
\npreservation.<\/li>\n- Submissions must first satisfy the requirement of at LEAST three stanzas with at LEAST
\nfive lines per stanza.<\/li>\n- Submissions qualifying for the final must be presented at a live showcase.<\/strong>
\nPerformance can include costuming, props, backups, background visuals and music.<\/li>\n- Content can be sourced on this website. Additional content can be sourced from our YouTube<\/a> , Facebook<\/a> and Instagram<\/a> pages.<\/li>\n
- Research, Research, Research!<\/li>\n
- Pieces are to be submitted to the Adopt A River Website in the form below during the period of June 12th<\/strong> to July 21st 2023<\/strong>. No late submissions will be considered.<\/strong><\/li>\n
- No alterations will be allowed after entries are submitted.<\/li>\n
- A panel of five (5) judges will shortlist and select finalists.<\/li>\n
- Finalists will be announced on August 14th, 2023<\/strong>.<\/li>\n
- Finals will occur in-person on September 22nd<\/strong>, at a venue to be announced.<\/li>\n
- Entries must be entirely the work of the student\/school and not that of any work
\npublished or performed publicly prior to the competition.<\/li>\n- The judging panel will award marks based on the following 5 criteria: Content,
\nCreativity, Language, Form and Relevance to theme.<\/li>\n- All submissions will be deemed the property of the Adopt A River Programme, who
\nreserves the right to reproduce any submission or part thereof by any means electronic or otherwise, free of all encumbrances. Full credit will be given to the author(s) for any
\nreproduced work.<\/li>\n- Family members of employees of the Adopt A River Programme and the Water and
\nSewerage Authority are not eligible to enter the competition.<\/li>\n- The Judges\u2019 decisions are final!<\/strong><\/li>\n<\/ol>\n
