Outreach

COMMUNITY EDUCATION AND AWARENESS

The AARP has an active public education and awareness raising programme through which communities, schools, organisations and the general public are provided with information on our watersheds and rivers. By going into our schools, attending community meetings, as well as going to locations frequented by the public (such as supermarkets) we educate persons on topics such as environmental stewardship, water preservation and conservation, recycling, water quality and the water cycle. Our outreaches are tailored to our target audience of all ages from children to adults.

Through focused messaging and creative learning ideas, an outreach programme has the unique ability to awaken community members to their watershed issues. Not only does this improve awareness of issues, it also inspires action to address those issues.

Do you want to engage, unite and positively affect your community? Then plan an outreach with us!
