RAINWATER HARVESTING IN TAMANA

On October 26th, AARP held a ceremony to officially handover a completed Rainwater Harvesting System to the Principal of the Tamana Roman Catholic School, Mr. Randal Luces. The rain water collected through this system would be used to supplement the existing supply to the community of Tamana and used for the school’s bathroom facilities and garden.

Many thanks to all the Stakeholders who participated in this initiative to make it possible. These include the Longdenville/Talparo Councillor Ryan Rampersad, who was happy to successfully lobby for labour from the Couva Tabaquite Talparo Regional Corporation (CTTRC), to construct and install the harvester. Other Stakeholders include J Chai Hardware and Cross Country Supermarket.
