AARP/NATURE SEEKERS-WATER & ENVIRONMENTAL OUTREACH

In keeping with our mandate of watershed management and public education, the Adopt A River Team in conjuction with Nature Seekers held a sensitization exercise in Matura with students of the International School of Port of Spain and the Matura Secondary School.

The students have conducted ongoing investigations on the impact various human activities have on the environment. This year’s focus was the impact these activities have on our water sources. Information was shared on the Matura Watershed and the importance of rivers. An intro to our Water Warriors Training Program was conducted, which included water quality sampling and testing.
