The last “Know Your Watershed” bus tour took place on Saturday, April 29. Venturing to Trinidad’s western peninsula, participants were treated to natural wonders as well as historical sites. In Chaguaramas, Nutmeg River was the main attraction. A bunker, dating back to the second World War (1939-1945), was the first talking point at that location. Places of interest on the second half of the tour were nestled in the foothills of Diego Martin. The recreation site at the d’Eau Blanc River was the starting point for the brief hike to the Blue Basin Waterfall where patrons were welcomed to the pools by an Emperor Butterfly fluttering among the lush green foliage.
