On Friday, January 12th, the Scouts Association of Trinidad and Tobago, solidified their partnership with the Adopt A River Prorgramme, an initiative of the Water Resources Agency (WRA) and WASA, through the signing of a Memorandum of Understanding (MOU), making a greater commitment for youth to become more involved in watershed and environmental management.
This commitment creates an avenue for awareness building through education and training, all aimed at fostering better stewards, leaders and champions of our waterways and our environment. This commitment will also aid to encourage the necessary actions, which leads to watershed and environmental sustainability, allowing Scouts to earn their Hydro Shield Badges!!!
