RIVER CLEAN-UP IN THE CUNUPIA RIVER

A river clean-up was conducted at the Cunupia River, Felicity Cremation Site, on Saturday, September 30th 2023. An assortment of items was removed from the banks and surrounding area of the River by 15 members of the public who joined the Adopt A River Programme-led exercise.

These included volunteers from the Saraswati Girls Hindu College, Ecosystem Approach Limited and Saving Another Life Today (SALT). Approximately 218 lbs (10 bags) of discarded items comprising general waste, and recyclables, were collected. Plastic chairs and tyres were also set aside for collection.
