On Friday July 28th, our camp stop took us to the La Pastora Community Centre where we engaged another large group of vacation campers from the Santa Cruz Police Youth Club. Campers ranged in ages 5 to 20 years old and were placed in four age categories of 5-7; 8-11; 12-15 and 16-20. Each group was engaged by our Outreach Team of Audra Francis-Smith, Dinnisha Rampersad, Eldon Coker and Darion Fraser respectively.
All participants of the 4-week camp including staff, were treated to videos and information on water facts, water challenges, water conservation and the water cycle. The younger children enjoyed the story telling and colouring in our water activity booklets, while older participants learnt about our water footprint, water quality, and watershed management. All were very enthused during the quiz segments!
