The Adopt A River Programme (AARP) held its second consultation on Thursday, June 22, 2023; this time in Tobago. The first in-person consultation for the year, citizens were treated to a wealth of information from various organisations. Apart from learning about the AARP and its plans for the island, attendees were also apprised of water supply projects being conducted by the Water and Sewerage Authority of Trinidad and Tobago, preparing for natural disasters by the Tobago Emergency Management Agency, the state of Tobago’s forest and how it is managed by the Department of Natural Resources and Forestry, and recycling initiatives on the island conducted by Recycling Waste and Logistics.
