The hike was awesome and very information! Those were a few sentiments expressed at the end of the “Know Your Watershed” bus tour, Tobago edition. Participants were treated to lovely and not so lovely sites on the island. This was done in an effort to showcase the beauty of the natural environment, as well as bring attention to the impact human activities have on ecosystems. It also illustrated our reliance on the resources we get from the planet. The highlight of the tour, by consensus, was the spectacular cascade of Highland Waterfall. A special thank you to those who helped with the removal of waste (left prior to our arrival) along the trail. We also express gratitude to the Divisions of Education, Research and Technology and Health, Wellness and Social Protection for facilitating the tour. It was an Earth Day well spent!
