WORLD RIVERS DAY 2022

The Adopt A River Programme in keeping with our mandate of watershed management and our role as stewards of the environment, we continue along a pathway to creating more sustainable watersheds, and a better, cleaner environment, where we each can play a part in the process.  The team commemorated World Rivers Day on Sunday, September 25th 2022 through a public outreach activity at Pool 1, Caura at 10:00am to 2:00pm. Joining us were some of our partners and adopters including the EMA, El Socorro Centre for Wildlife Conservation, Forestry Division, UNDP and Caribbean Bottlers.

World Rivers Day is a celebration of the world’s waterways, highlighting the many values and usage of rivers while striving to increase public awareness and responsibility as well as encourage improved stewardship of rivers not only in our home countries, but globally.
