Rainwater harvesting is the collection and storage of rain into vessels of varying sizes for a variety of uses. These include watering gardens and house plants, tending to livestock, flushing toilets and other domestic use through proper treatment for portability.
The AARP installed a 1000g Rainwater Harvester (RWH) at the Mundo Nuevo Roman Catholic School, located at John Dillon Trace. The Programme was pleased to officially handover the RWH to the principal and teachers at the school on Monday 8th March 2021. It is the first of many that our Unit hope to install after consultation and assessment of other schools and communities throughout T&T.
