Team “Adopt A River” was at it again commencing the first of a series of public consultations aimed at improving the health of watersheds throughout Trinidad and Tobago.

On Sunday May 28th, the Outreach Team led by outreach officer Joann David, met with stakeholders in the Maracas/St. Joseph watershed where they formally met members of the Adopt A River Implementation Unit. Project Manager, Dr. Sharda Mahabir, introduced attendees to the work and vision of Adopt A River whilst guest speaker Mr. Wayne Clement emphasised the need for all communities to actively participate in activities geared towards improving the health of their watersheds. It was a very productive evening with all parties eager to move forward. El Luengo, a registered adopter with the programme took lead of this initiative with a clean-up exercise on Sunday 04th June, 2017.
